The following timeline sketches the major events in the history of Plan-IT Wyoming:
2005 Plan-IT Wyoming formally established by interagency agreement
2004 to date, building on the success of the Phase I demonstration project, the Partnership is currently working on project development and additional fund raising for the Cheyenne, Sheridan and Worland projects.
November / December 2003
Phase II kick-off meetings held.
September 2003
Phase II communities selected
Summer 2003
RFQ distributed for potential phase II projects;
July 2003
Pilot project results presented at the ESRI International User Conference, San Diego, CA.
July 2002
Work began with Albany county on the pilot project.
Winter / Spring 2002
The Partnership proposed and funded the Phase I pilot.
The vision document creating the Partnership and initiating the three phase project plan was completed.
June 2001
Orton Family Foundation demo of Community Viz™ at the University of Wyoming.
